When there is a bail schedule, you do not have to go before a judge to have the amount set. The police will know the bail amount and you may be entitled to pay it with cash or a bond after you have been officially charged and processed by the police.

A bail bondsman in Ohio charges a 10% premium of the full bond amount. For example, a $10,000 bond will cost a $1,000 premium. Once the premium has been paid, the bondsman will post the full amount of the bond and the defendant will be released from jail.

You will receive your bond refund check in the mail four to six weeks after the completion of the case.

“No bond” means that a defendant is not eligible for release on bail or bond pending trial or other legal proceedings. When a judge orders that no bond be set, it means that the defendant must remain in custody until their case is resolved.
