Is Barbayanni ouzo good?
Yet, when it comes to tasting it, the Barbayanni delivers a ton of aniseed. Apart from it, it has a powerful hot spice and menthol note, which makes drinking it neat at room temperature slightly less pleasant. Nevertheless, the ouzo is quite balanced with no cloying sweetness.

What is the color of ouzo?
Appearance. Ouzo is a clear liquid. However, when water or ice is added, ouzo turns a milky-white colour. This is because anethole, the essential oil of anise, is completely soluble in alcohol at approximately 38% ABV and above, but not in water.
Are there different types of ouzo?
Two varieties, one of 42% and the other 45% alcohol. Hard to find outside of Plomari. Dimino comes in funny shaped bottles but is distilled and pure. Ouzo Mini: Mild and smooth with an alcohol content of 40%.
