While feng shui is considered real by some people, it is technically classified as a pseudoscience because there is no scientific research to support its benefits. However, the results of feng shui vary from person to person and often yield the expected outcome.

Feng shui means “the way of wind and water.” It has roots in early Taoism but is still popular today, having spread throughout China and even to Western cultures. Feng shui stems from the Taoist belief in chi, or the life force that inhabits everything.

Feng Shui involves the placement of objects in relation to the flow of Qi (Chi, 氣) “natural energy”. It also involves the layout, framework, materials, and colors of building structures. These guidelines allow us to make the most ideal arrangement in any given situation.
