Though “I Ran (So Far Away)” was A Flock of Seagulls' biggest hit worldwide, the band's 1982 song “Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)” became their highest-charting single in the UK, reaching No. 10. It was the first single from their second album, 1983's Listen, a Top 20 hit in the US and the UK.

The band now as a trio released the album 'Dream Come True' in 1986. Ali and Frank left in the years afterwards. Mike released the 'Light At The End of the World' album in 1996. A Flock of Seagulls never really broke up.

In 1982 the group's third single, produced by Mike Howlett I Ran (So Far Away) became a worldwide hit, most notably reaching number 1 in Australia and the top 10 in the US and New Zealand (where the band became popular). The parent album A Flock of Seagulls and another singleSpace Age Love Song were also successful.

Their 1982 self-titled debut album, Flock of Seagulls is actually, surprisingly enjoyable. Paul Reynolds is an ace guitar player and the ten songs on this record are catchy, danceable pop tunes that stand right up with some of the best of that genre at that time.
