Cruiser bikes are ideal for both city riding and some light trail excursions. If you want to hit a national park dirt trail, a cruiser is a better bike for the job than a beach cruiser. We also recommend them for low-speed, low-impact rides on both dirt paths and paved bike lanes.

Typically, you would see a cruiser rider sitting upright or leaning back, making them comfortable over long rides. Street bikes have more of a head-down seating position, which gives the rider maximum stability and control over high speeds. This position also improves the overall aerodynamics of the bike.

Cruiser bikes that have multiple gears are much easier to pedal uphill than simple single speed cruisers, which can be very hard to pedal uphill.
