Karen Montgomery of Kspace Gardening Consultancy Service holds qualifications in Horticulture, (including garden design), Conservation Land Management, Training & Assessing and is the President the Horticulture Media Association SA. With a sound technical base to draw on, she is able to design gardens that meet her clients’ needs while respecting the environment. She is just as happy assisting you to improve an area of your garden, as she is working with property developers to create gardens that complement the buildings they surround. Karen is passionate about growing food and runs edible gardening workshops including topics like vertical gardening, wicking beds, herbs, therapy gardening and many more. Karen holds a Peter Bennett Award for sustainable living practices, was the 2010 Judge for the South Australian Nursery Industry Retail Nursery Awards & was recently on stage at the ABC Gardening Show with the ‘Ask it Solve it’ crew in Adelaide. In 2011 she was also a recipient of the Playford Memorial Trust Awards for her commitment to her studies and the industry. Karen is a resident of the cool Adelaide Hills, where she tends her 1 acre garden shaded by large trees, includes a 35m² veggie garden, orchard, berry garden, bee hive & chicken run which she shares with her family & 3 dogs. Along with the possums, koalas and kookaburras, just to name a few permanent visitors.
