If you have a router / firewall / Wifi manufactured by Belkin, Linksys, MikroTik, Netgear Inc, TP-Link or QNAP, your equipment is vulnerable to the VPNFilter malware. Why should you care? Once infected, your device can be used as an attack against United States infrastructure, such as the financial center or power grid. Additionally, any user names and passwords you enter into banking or other financial institutions websites while on your network are susceptible to being stolen. What can you do about this? First, power reset your your router / firewall. Second, apply any firmware updates as soon as they come out. If I lost you on any of this, I can help you. For $25 I will come in to your place of business or home and reset your equipment. I will also note the make and model of your equipment, and return and upgrade the firmware when it is available from your equipment's manufacture.
