HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The Columbus Ohio Temple was originally built as part of an effort led by President Gordon B. Hinckley to bring temples closer to the members of the Church. At its dedication in 1999, it became the 60th operating temple of the Church and the first temple in Ohio.
